time to write

Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven"

In the Ecclesiastes reading today, Qoheleth was saying that there's a time for everything.. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance. He is also the author who declared that everything is meaningless, meaningless. So, what are we supposed to do?Do we just stay idle and wait for our lives to end? Or do we go out and do crazy stuff because life is short and we gotta make the most out of it?

I guess what he just wanted to say is for the people to realize that every worldly pursuit is meaningless unless one takes it in the context of eternity. Life does not end with our last breath. Its just the start of something better.. one might call it resurrection or after life or heaven.. The most important thing is to think beyond this earthly life. It might be advisable to ask myself this question: Will this pursuit bring me closer to my heavenly inheritance?

This passage also made me reflect on the things that are keeping me preoccupied right now. I guess this is the time to write and the time to think about what I really want to do with my life. Are these pursuits bringing me closer to heaven? Or am I just wasting my time pursuing meaningless goals? Hmmm.. that's a hard question to answer. I may be going through very difficult times right now but I believe these struggles only make me cling more strongly to Him whom I know will always be there for me. Maybe, that's the purpose of all these..

Life may not be meaningless after all..
